Procedure Details
Complex hepatobiliary surgery. Resection of a bismuth II perihilar cholangiocarcinoma, after 4 months of having a palliative percutaneous biliary drainage that was no longer functioning and infected. Intrahepatic biliary reconstruction to 4 bile ducts.
The patient progressed satisfactorily. Now adjuvant treatment is about to begin.
These types of injuries pose a challenge for the surgical team, from knowing how to indicate surgery to how to plan its execution.
