Complete Liver Mobilization. vascular dissection. Venovenous bypass assistance and assembly
Multidisciplinary management for a patient with Retroperitoneal Tumor that invades the Right Kidney and almost the entire Inferior Vena Cava up to the level of the suprahepatic veins. However, we decided to take the case and face the challenge thanks to our experience in managing pathologies in this surgical area and after reviewing the images that allowed us to plan an adequate resection of the lesion.
Surgery lasting almost 7 hours. Complete Liver Mobilization. Vascular dissection of the entire retrohepatic vena cava, assistance and installation of venovenous bypass with extracorporeal circulation pump, right radical nephrectomy, resection of the cava and vascular replacement with prosthesis.
